Pivovarská Nalévárna U tří hrušek rumored to close
This is the second, larger pub on the border between Nusle and Vinohrady.
They are supposed to close at the end of February. I gather they didn't get the amount of business they expected.
New entry to the Guide -- BeerHere
Opened in November 2022 this little beer bar has great potential. Fifteen taps and friendly, knowlegable staff it is well worth the effort to visit.

Automat Matuška -- a new taproom
Pivovar Matuška has opened a tap room in Prague, right at the Hradčanská Metro and tram stops in Dejvice. Ten taps plus the ocassional gravity barrel. Food looks to be BBQ, but it appears that is being ramped up so the menu may be limited.

U Vodoucha has closed
The building was sold and the new owner is remodling for new restaurant.
Pivovarský Dům closed for renovation
Taken over by the same group that runs Pivovarský Klub, they are closed for renovation and will reopen as a taproom of Břevnov Benedict brewery. The brewery will be used for special and seasonal beers.

Pivní zastávka is moving
Looks to be about a block from the original location. They are supposed to be closed for a couple of weeks during the move, so as always, call before traveling.
Hopefully they will have room for a few more taps and more seating. Any reports welcome.

Pivovarský Klub reopening as a Břevnovský (Benedict) tap room.
It is scheduled for Jan 18 but that could change. It looks like they will have at least 3 Benedict beers on draft plus three guest beers.

Sběrné Suroviny has closed
Lots of rumors as to why flying around the internet. They were around the corner from the original Bad Flash Bar and they are reports they may take over the space.
Illegal Beer has closed
Not due to COVID but they just thought it was time to move on to something new. Now I am extra sad that I didn't make it to Prague earlier this year. Google Maps says "Temporarily Closed" so maybe there is hope somebody will take it over.
New addition to the "To Do List:" Valhalla Beer Club
A new bar at Ruská 557/30 in Vršovice, it specializes in Nordic beers, but does have some Czech beers as well. Early reports are favorable, but more information always welcom.

Temporary Closings
These pubs are listed as "Temporarily Closed" which I assume means they have to plans to reopen. They have been removed from the Guide for now, but when/if they re-open I will add them back in.

Pivovarský Klub is closing!
They have announced that they will be closing as of July 29. Talks are underway to find a new owner and so they may reopen. I am leaving them in the Guide for now in hopes the will soon re-open.
Hells Bells Beer Bar has closed
They actually closed a few months ago but I am just finding out.
Hostomice taproom "U tří hrušek" Now open
Located at Bělehradská 33 very close to Galerka on the number 6 and 11 trams (stops Nuselské schody orPod Karlovem). Early reports are it is very similar to the original in atmosphere (and price)

Pivovar Prokopák opens in Barrandov, Prague 5
New brewpub in in Barrandov, Prague 5, near the Prokop Valley nature preserve. The 1, 5, 12 and 20 trams will get you within a kilometer or so.

Kulový Blesk has moved
The new location is pretty much around the corner Melounova 519/5. Initital reports say the tap list is reduced and the place a bit smaller. Let me know how it is if visit.

Novoměstský Pivovar to close.
Looks like they wil close at the end of the month.
I have fond memories from 10-11 years ago but in recent years the quality of beer, food and service has fallen quite a bit.
Ferdinanda Nové Město removed from the Guide
Reportedly they no longer serve Ferdinand beers, which was the main reason for their listing.

Putica has closed.
Very sad to hear this as it was the best place to get tank Únětice in the city center.
The eRko Gastropub in the same building stills lists tank Únětice on their menu, so there is a slim bit of hope. Watch this space...
Pivovar Trilobit opens second tap room in Smíchov
First reports say it is a bit fancier than the original tap room. Six of their beers on tap.

Zubatý Pes has taken over the former Gastropub 20 Pip
Looks like a complete remodel and they will now have 24 taps and can stay open later. Sad to see 20Pip (formerly Craft Beer Pub) close but I think this will be a great move for Zubatý Pes.

Výčep Na stojáka Has closed
The total stand up bar just off Naměští Míru didn’t quite make it to its first birthday. Too bad, as I had a nice time on my two visits.
Cafe Lajka is now Pivovar Lajka
Cafe Lajka in Letna has opened on onsite brewery and changed their name to "Pivovar Lajka." Early reports are the beers are good. Looking foward to giving them a try. (Note: Picture is of old signage)

Permanent Beer Fest has opened for the season
A beer garden in Prague 9, Permanent Beer Fest has 12 beers on tap, mostly modern styles (i.e. "craft) both Czech and international.
Despite the name, they are only open roughly April thru September.

New this year in what looks to formerly be a coffee shop is Indigo Ale Bar. They have 8 taps and all look interesting. Pretty much around the corner from U Fleků.

The Pauwel Kwak Bierhaus is from the same people at Gulden Draak Bierhaus. The new place is in Smíchov, not far from BeerTime.

Added a new tag for bottle shops
Bottle shops that have chilled beers for onsite consumption as well as anywhere from a couple to a decent number of taps seem to be popular in Prague. So I've added a special tag for those. Just look for the icon with three bottles.
Added Pivnice Trilobit to the To Do List
A tap room for Pivovar Trilobit in Vršovice, close to the original Bad Flash Bar and Galierie Piva. Four taps of Trilobit beers plus bottles. Terrance open during nice weather.

Beer Knir is a new bottle shop/pub in Vršovice. Six rotatiing taps of craft beer. Not sure if the bottles can be consumed on site, but I would expect so.

You can now search for all pubs near a particular tram stop. Also, while view a pub listing that is near a tram stop, you can click on the stop name and see other pubs near that stop.
Pivni Klub 300 Added to the To Do List
Added a new pub to the "To Do List" Pivni Klub 300 in Letná. 4 taps of interesting beer and you can order in from the Curry Palace next door. If you have been, any reports welcome.

Prague Beer Museum on Dlouhá has moved
They are now just south of the Charles Bridge at Smetanovo Nabrezi 22.
The new location is larger and is on two levels . They have pretty much copied the operation of thier Náměstí Míru location in that they have full menu and serve beer taster sets.
The number of taps is unchanged at 30.

Prague Pubs to be Non Smoking as of June 1, 2017
For the beer tourist, this will be a welcome change. Given my experince with Germany when this happened, it may take a year or two for places to air out.
